Description

What this is

Seven days of short daily practice, built around the first two forms of Ba Duan Jin – one of the oldest and most researched movement practices in the world. By the end of the week you will have a sequence you can do anywhere, without thinking about it.

Who it is for

People who know they should do something, but for whom the gym is another obligation they are already failing at, and sitting still with their own thoughts is the last thing that helps.

You do not need to be flexible, fit or experienced. Every movement starts from standing still, and every one can be done seated.

What is inside

The Arrival Practice, which takes ninety seconds and is the most important thing in the programme. Two complete Ba Duan Jin forms, taught one piece at a time. A day-by-day structure with breath cues and a daily focus. And the reasoning behind each element, in plain English.

What it is not

No mysticism and nothing to believe in. You do not need to believe in qi, meridians or energy to benefit. It is taught as what to move, when to breathe, and what it is doing.

The series

The Opening is the first of four guides. Each covers two forms of the eight, and each stands alone. The Focus follows.

Format

A nine-page PDF, available to download immediately after purchase. Readable on a phone, a tablet or printed.

Who wrote it

Qigong Teahouse, qualified in health qigong through the British Health Qigong Association, the British body for health qigong instruction.

Refunds

Because the guide is delivered immediately as a download, it cannot be returned once you have accessed it, and by buying you agree to immediate access. This does not affect your rights if the file is faulty or not as described – if that happens, email welcome@qigongteahouse.com and I will put it right.
